In 2006,Madhuri Dixit returned to Mumbai with her husband and sons to start filming for Aaja Nachle.The film released in November 2007 and, despite the critics panning it,Madhuri Dixit's performance was highly appreciated with the New York Times commenting about her that "she's still got it". Her performance in Aaja Nachle earned her the record-setting thirteenth nomination for the Filmfare Best Actress Award.
